How safe is it?

Shipping is the safest and quickest way to get your puppy across country.  Dogs have a short memory and after they get their land legs back and are greeted with love by you, they have all but forgotten any hard ship they may have experienced.  Pups are brought to the Airport early in the morning and are in your hands by late afternoon. Most of the time spent sleeping away the morning.  Only perfectly healthy pups can be shipped, so they would be hearty enough to handle any stress thrown their way. Not any more stressful than a trip to the Veterinarian. Continental is one airline we use for shipping and after shipping with them for years we have met most of the people on our end and a few on yours that handle our pups. Well I can tell you, I have found them to be an outstanding group of people.   I personally feel it is cheaper and safer to ship your pup than driving across country.

To ship or not to ship?

As you know the best way to avoid shipping your new pup is to find a breeder near you, well we all know that that is not always possible.   With a busy life style and inability to coordinate time off with the a pups ability to leave, we find ourselves in a quandary. 

I have shipped several pups and have never had a bad experience.  Driving across country with a new pup was very difficult and stressful for the pup and me. You also must consider your time and exposure to the danger that come with driving. 

Is it expensive to ship?

When you consider the cost of a pup at a Pet shop is far more than the cost of your pup straight from the breeder and shipping, No it is not expensive.  The cost to ship through air travel is around $325. This charge includes: air bill, a veterinarian certificate, an airline approved container, breeders travel time to and from the airport, and insurance. And adding more than one puppy (up to 50 lbs total) is no additional charge. Shipping is done during the first week of the month. Although, puppies cannot be shipped on the Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Also, note that full payment for pups and shipment must be received before shipping takes place.
